On Monday June 23, 2008, Members of the Olean Toastmasters Club and their guests celebrated the induction of five new members, presented awards and installed officers for the 2008 – 2009 year at  Moonwinks Restaurant in Cuba.
Interim President Nancy Phillips inducted Jack Liguori of Rushford, and Anna Bush of Olean who were present at the celebration. The other three members, all of Olean, were unable to attend. They were Della Hill, Jesse Garron, and Catherine Eade.
Phillips also presented two awards that night. Howard Cornwall of Bolivar earned the Competent Communicator Award and Don Cinque of Wellsville earned the Advanced Communicator Bronze Award. Not present was Pat Coat of Olean who also earned the Competent Communicator Award.
Newly elected officers were President Nancy Phillips of Olean, Vice-President of Education and Secretary Don Cinque of Wellsville, Vice-President of Membership and Vice-President of Public Relations Anna Bush of Olean, Treasu rer Pat Coat of Olean, and Sergeant at Arms Howard Cornwall of Bolivar.
